He flooded the earth.
Wiped out mankind.
In Genesis, we are told….
5 The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time. 6 TheLord regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled. 7 So the Lord said, “I will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have created—and with them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground—for I regret that I have made them.”
You know, I think we have all heard the story of Noah and the flood, but we don’t really put much thought into it.
(Well there’s always the idiots out there that say there’s no evidence of a flood, or that it was a regional flood, and all that crap. But yeah, they are wrong and they are doing what the Bible describes as being “willingly ignorant”. So I’m not talking to this group.)
Anyway most of us heard the story about the flood, but we don’t really think about this all loving God.. Regretting that He made man and Wiped the entire earth out except for a boatload of animals and one family.
He felt that way due to the people’s wickedness. Well… are we as humans no longer wicked?
Watch the news.
I venture to say… we are getting more and more wicked.
Well if God felt that way about wickedness, what does He think about today’s wickedness?
Did He change His mind? The wickedness today… Did God decide… “You know what… I’m good with that. i just love them all no matter what they do?”
Did God redefine what He considers wicked?
What does God consider as wicked anyway? I’m sure the people in Noah’s day thought they were probably fine as we do today.
Why would a loving God wipe out the earth with a flood?
You all see where I’m going with this right? I hope so, because I’m writing this super early in the morning before church, and I am struggling 🙂 hehe..
Anyway, my point is…. the people didn’t care what God thought or what He defined as wicked.
We feel the same way. Abortions, Gay rights, Idolatry, don’t read the Bible, truth is relative, yadda, yadda, yadda. Wonder what God thinks?
In the end… God’s a judge. We all have a very public court date coming up, and it’s not looking good for us. Our only hope is Jesus Christ… to Be adopted into God’s family.
Anyway, I will try to clean this up and make it more interesting when I get more time. I just wanted to get the thought down and the video up.
Hope you all have a great day!
